Lisa Lobel, C.S.A.
Co-Owner/Casting Director
Lisa Lobel was born and raised outside of Boston and earned a BA from the University of Hartford. She joined Boston Casting in 1995 and is a proud member of CSA (Casting Society) as well as ICDN (International Casting Directors Network).
Lisa has received three Artios Awards from Casting Society for SORRY, BABY, THE HOLDOVERS, and CODA. She was also nominated for two Semiramis Awards for Excellence in Casting worldwide for SOUND OF METAL, which featured an almost entirely deaf cast, and CODA.
Most recently, Lisa served as local casting director on the Apple TV series WIDOW’S BAY, the Netflix series THE PERFECT COUPLE, the feature films THE DRAMA and TONY, and M. Night Shyamalan’s REMAIN.
Lisa enjoys speaking to students around the country about careers in acting and casting and was honored by her alma mater with the 2023 Arts and Sciences Alumni Award.

Melissa is a seasoned casting professional working across film and television. Originally from Long Island, she moved to Massachusetts after earning her degree in Communications from Fitchburg State University.
She began her casting career in 2016 as an intern at Boston Casting, returning the following year as office manager and commercial casting assistant. Since then, she has contributed to a range of film and television projects, earning her C.S.A. Associate status.
Her credits include WIDOW’S BAY, TONY, THE DRAMA, THE HOLDOVERS, AMERICAN FICTION, and the Academy Award-winning CODA.

Brett began her career at Boston Casting in 2016 as an intern and after graduating college she moved to Los Angeles where she worked on several films, television shows, and commercial. She has since rejoined the Boston Casting team where she splits her time between Los Angeles and Boston.
She has recently worked as the principal casting associate on the highly anticipated film GOOD BURGER 2, as well as films such as AFTERMATH, THE COLLABORATION, I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, I CARE A LOT and more. She has been the extras casting director on over 15+ films & television series such as DEXTER: NEW BLOOD, BLACK PANTHER WAKANDA FORVER, THE PERFECT COUPLE, THE PARENTING, SALEM’S LOT, GODMOTHERED, and THE EXPECTING.
Brett is a ride or die Swiftie (as everyone should be) and a horror movie buff. You can probably find her at any trivia night in the city, but if she’s not there she’s most likely at home watching a Wes Craven film for the 100th time.

Emma joined the Boston Casting team after graduating from Emerson College in 2024 with a BA in Directing & Producing for Stage & Screen. She has been involved with the arts in some form her entire life, starting as an actor and avid theatre and film lover before pursuing a degree in directing and producing and finding an exciting new path in casting!
Emma started her career with Boston Casting as a summer intern, and currently works as a casting assistant on a variety of projects across departments. She also works closely with the extras casting department, specializing in casting child extras.
When she’s not at work, you can find Emma frequenting local bookstores with her friends and a chai latte, attending live theater performances, reading murder mystery novels, or making trips to her hometown in NH to visit her family and their menagerie of pets!

With Boston Casting since 2007, Hilary specializes in casting commercials, web videos, independent films and kids casting. Together with Angela Peri, CSA, Hilary has worked on such films as KNIGHT AND DAY starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, THE FIGHTER starring Mark Wahlberg, THE PROPOSAL with Sandra Bullock, PINK PATHER 2 with Steve Martin, and WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU with Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke. Her television credits include casting for LOUIE on FX and the pilot WAR OF ’04 as well as commercials and web videos for Zip Car, Mass.
Lottery, Fidelity, Meineke, VISA, American Express, and Liberty Mutual. Prior to joining Boston Casting, Hilary ran her own casting office in New York, specializing in theater casting. She began her career as the resident casting director for The Philadelphia Festival Theater for New Plays based at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, she singlehandedly cast over 40 world premiere productions of new plays, by such well known playwrights as David Mamet, David Ives, Lee Blessing, Jules Feiffer. Hilary is a graduate of Oberlin College.

Brittany Shapiro
School Director
Brittany has been teaching acting classes to kids, teens and young adults for more than 15 years in Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Given her experience in casting, her expertise lies in audition technique and some of her students can be seen on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Nickelodeon, NBC, ABC, Discovery Channel, as well as local/national commercials, print ads and even on Broadway!
Brittany relocated to Boston in 2012 after spending time in Los Angeles, casting both feature films and television. She began as a casting assistant for casting director Joseph Middleton and worked closely with casting directors Brandi Brice and Dana Gergely on Disney Channel’s hit television series A.N.T. FARM, as well as other Disney & Disney XD projects. Since joining Boston Casting in 2012, Brittany routinely runs commercial casting sessions and most recently worked on projects for Bank Newport, Titleist, Rhode Island Tourism campaign & Yale New Haven Hospital.
Brittany has a Bachelors Degree in Drama from Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, she holds a Massachusetts Provisional Teaching License in Theater (all levels K-12) and currently serves as the Director of the School of Screen Acting at Boston Casting.
Mikayla Cramer
Associate Casting Director
Mikayla attended The Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she studied Musical Theatre and went on to graduate from Penn State with a Degree in Acting. She interned with the Cannes Film Festival in France then joined Boston Casting in 2018.
She focuses primarily on the commercial and advertising sectors of Boston Casting. Some of her recent work includes NIKE, Bernie & Phyl’s, WONDER, Titleist, Bank of America, etc.
Mikayla has worked on many film // tv projects as well such as AT THE SEA, THE TENDER BAR, THE PARENTING, etc.
Mikayla thrives on a quick turnaround and always has a pulse on what is trending.
Along with casting, Mikayla teaches acting and loves helping actors (both kid and adult talent) get to the next level.

Ariana attended Emerson College where she graduated in 2021 with her BFA in Musical Theatre with a Concentration in Voice-Acting. Having grown up in Los Angeles, she was often immersed in the film and television world. She works with many facets of our team: managing the social media and assisting in casting on multiple productions such as CHOSEN FAMILY, I STAND ALONE: THE SULLY ERNA STORY, GOOD BURGER 2, and THE COMPATRIOTS. Ariana is also a successful voice-actor!
When she’s not on the clock, you might spot her frolicking in the streets of Disneyland, lounging in the sun with her favorite music playing, or cuddling up with her cat while catching up on her favorite animated TV series.
Jason B. Stamey

Jason Stamey, an Emmy-nominated Casting Director, has built a career spanning blockbuster franchises and independent film. He played a key role in shaping the Marvel Cinematic Universe and establishing the world of Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian, collaborating with visionary filmmakers including Jon Favreau, Chloé Zhao, Shane Black, the Russo Brothers, Matt Shakman, Bryce Dallas Howard, and James Gunn. Alongside franchise work, Stamey has remained deeply involved in the independent scene, attaching talent to passion projects and elevating rising stars. He joined the Boston Casting team in 2025.
As a Casting Director, Stamey has partnered with leading studios such as Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Disney, Warner Bros., Hulu, 20th Century Fox, Legendary, Sony, and ABC. His notable credits include the 23-time Emmy-nominated WandaVision, Avengers: Endgame, The Little Prince, the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Chef, The Nice Guys, and Disney’s live-action The Lion King.

There, she did internships with industry leading offices like Telsey & Co, Calleri Casting, and the Carson Kolker Organization. Upon graduating from Pace University for Acting and Devised Theatre, she worked for a manager with clients on Broadway and major networks such as the CW.
Since moving back home to the Cape and now Boston, Gracie has assisted on 4 projects with BC, including JULIA and THE TENDER BAR. She loves booking the vintage cars for period pieces and meeting new actors. When not in the office, you can find Gracie petting dogs on the street or having a cocktail in the North End.
